Carsten Henkel, VMD
Originally a native of Germany, Dr. Henkel moved to the United States in 1987 to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian. A 1995 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Henkel opened Robinson Animal Hospital in 1998. Since its opening, Dr. Henkel has steadily grown Robinson Animal Hospital into a state-of-the-art facility that is well respected in the veterinary community. When not at work, Dr. Henkel enjoys spending time with his family that includes his English Setters Murray and Henry and the cats Jack, Toby and Max.
Abigail Davidson, DVM
Dr. Davidson, originally from Ellwood City, PA, has enjoyed travelling for her education. From a gymnast at Hawaii Pacific University, to a 2016 graduate of Ross University on St. Kitts, to completing her clinical studies in Dublin, Ireland, she is thrilled to find herself back in Western Pennsylvania. Her special interests are surgery, dentistry, and hospice/end of life care. When not working, Dr. Davidson enjoys singing, traveling, yoga, expanding her knowledge in veterinary abdominal ultrasound, and finally, spending time with her island dog Stella and her too numerous to count cats. She is also a consultant for the Butler County Humane Society Board.
Angela Keffer, VMD
A 2002 graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Keffer has over 20 years of animal care experience both as a technician and veterinarian. Enjoying all fields of veterinary care, she has a special interest in rodents and rabbits as well as the field of flexible endoscopy. In her spare time, Dr. Angie has established herself as a greatly respected breeder of chinchillas and enjoys time off with her dogs Cecilia, Bart, Penelope, Leela, Ripley, and Darla.
Michelle Henry, DVM
Dr. Henry is a 2002 of Michigan State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After spending 13 years at a practice in the North Hills of Pittsburgh she joined Robinson Animal Hospital in 2017. Dr. Henry is certified in Acupuncture and has a special interest in ultrasound. She continues to live with her husband and two boys in the North Hills.
Lauren Sechler, VMD
Originally from Wexford, PA, Dr. Sechler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She moved back to the Pittsburgh area to complete a one year internship at the Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center. During her internship, Dr. Sechler had extensive exposure to many different specialty fields of veterinary medicine. Her special interests are in internal medicine and emergency care. She enjoys spending her spare time with family, friends, and her two cats Daisy and Eli.
